Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SIDDES ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SIDDES. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not impersonate another person, use another person's account, or create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Content & Conduct

Your Content: You retain ownership of the content you post on SIDDES (flips, takes, comments, images, videos). By posting content, you grant SIDDES a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

Prohibited Content: You may not post content that is illegal, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes on intellectual property rights. You may not post sexually explicit content involving minors. You may not use the Service to spam, phish, or distribute malware.

Enforcement: We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms at our sole discretion. We are not obligated to monitor all content but may do so to protect the community.

5. The Flip Mechanic

SIDDES flips consist of two sides — Side A and Side B. When you create a flip, you understand that both sides will be visible to your chosen audience after the countdown or manual flip. You are responsible for the content on both sides. You may not use the flip mechanic to bait users into viewing harmful, deceptive, or prohibited content.

6. Takes & Community Participation

When you submit a take (your own Side B to another user's flip), your take may be visible to other users. By submitting takes, you grant the same content license described in Section 4. Take voting results are displayed publicly.

7. Intellectual Property

SIDDES and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by SIDDES and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The SIDDES name, logo, the flip card design, and the "Every Story Has Two Sides" tagline are trademarks of SIDDES. You may not use them without prior written permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those services. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their own terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not liable for any content posted by users.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SIDDES and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 4, 7, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.
